Many aspects of PsyPets require Javascript, but it looks like your browser either doesn't support Javascript, or Javascript's been disabled!
If you're using a browser without Javascript support, or with poor Javascript support, you should probably switch browsers for playing PsyPets.
If you've disabled Javascript within your browser, please enable it while playing PsyPets.
If you're using Noscript, or a similar plugin, or some other internet security software that blocks Javascript, you should inform it that PsyPets is cool and awesome and trustworthy. Because it is :)
Latest News: Daycare update
the first half of the daycare code is complete... I had to update tooooons of old pages to be aware of the fact that pets might now be in one of two locations: your house, or the daycare.

* resident profiles
* pet resurrection
* pet regraphicers
* almost any page that lets you select a pet
* almost any item that lets you select a pet
* etc
* etc
* etc
all these had to be updated to confirm "oh, and is this pet in your house?" in addition to regular checks, like "is this pet dead or not?" "is this pet a zombie", etc.
I also updated some old item actions that didn't care about zombies... ex: you can't accidentally waste a Child's Play on a zombie anymore.

oh! I've decided on a fee structure for the daycare: no fee!
there will instead be a simple limitation: one daycare 'transaction' per hour... that is, whenever you drop off or pick up a pet, you will have to wait an hour before you can drop off or pick up another. and that's real time, not house time, so I guess if you really want to change your entire house around before letting the house hours run... ... well, have fun with that ![[razz]](gfx/emote/nyeh.gif)
About PsyPets
In PsyPets you take care of strange (and cute?)-looking pets, chat with other players, prepare food, and collect rare items. Started in late March of 2004, PsyPets is still worked on, adding more items and features with player input.
PsyPets is not like other pet games:
- It's about how you raise your pets, and what they are capable of doing. You do not beat up monsters, your pets do. You do not find rare treasures, your pets do.
- It's a simulation. The pets' behaviors are defined by Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, personality theory, and common sense. Your pets eat, grow, and give birth. They can and will die if not properly cared for.
- It's a place to meet other people and talk about whatever you want to talk about. (Just don't break the law, kids! Parents: you may lock your child's account out of the discussion boards if you so choose.)
Requirements to Play
In short, PsyPets is a web browser-based game in which Javascript and cookies are used, but Java and Flash are not. PsyPets has been tested to work on most modern browsers. For more information, visit the Requirements to Play page (on the PsyPets wiki).
